…went shopping again. Bought heels, back pack, earrings, bikinis x 4, tank top and romper. It’s a drug I tell ya. I’ll model some of my new stuff soon ;)
My phone died over the weekend.
I have been without a cellular phone for the first time since…the 8th grade?
I feel isolated and lonely! Only when you part with your phone do you realize how attached and dependent you are on it.
Can’t share my every waking thought. Can’t text my boyfriend when I see something funny happen in class…
But also, it feels GREAT! There is a sense of freedom that I haven’t felt in a while. No non-stop email checks, non-stop ‘I think my phone just vibrated’ checks.
I have begun using my home phone again. Is it sad that sitting on my bed with a regular phone feels nostalgic? Like those nights I’d spend in the 8th grade talking about all my crushes until my mom came and yelled for blocking up the line…
Good times.
Be crazy…leave you r phone at home once in a while…if you dare :P
I received my first Glymm “box” this week and must say I’m underwhelmed. I was hoping there would be some neat nail polish or lipstick or at least one thing that seemed unique.
It just so happens that this month Glymm started “going green” and no longer gives subscribers a beautiful box. Instead you get a makeup bag, which would be nice except for the fact that it is very low quality.
That being said, I will try and make use of my samples and maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised. I’ll post pics of the contents soon.
Finally did the DIY from http://dreamcreate.wordpress.com/2012/03/14/diy-starfish-cuff/
Just wanted to mention that this took me forever to do and ended up costing about $60 eep. After searching a million stores for a starfish, buying the wrong one. Getting old polymer clay and having to buy a new package and super gluing my fingers together I have finished this project! At least I have the mold now and I can create several pieces.
First knead equal parts of your Silicone putty mold until the colours are completely mixed.

Next, stretch out the mold and place your starfish inside.

Next, let the mold dry for 20 minutes and knead your pack of Fimo and place in mold. Wrap the fimo star fish around a small glass and place in oven at 170c for 15 minutes. Let it cool off and paint it! I spray painted mine gold.

If you’re wondering why and how I superglued my fingers in this project…the cuff is very fragile. I dropped it several times. Had to superglue my starfish limbs back together :/

Voila!
